About King Dental Arts
King Dental Arts has been at the forefront of dental innovation, specializing in the creation of custom crowns and dental cosmetics. Our team of skilled artisans and technicians work meticulously to ensure that each product meets the highest standards of quality and aesthetics. With a strong foundation established at Atlanta Technical College’s ADA Accredited Dental Lab Program, my career in the field of dentistry began. Graduating from the program equipped me with essential skills and knowledge to embark on a journey dedicated to dental craftsmanship.
Early in my career, I honed my expertise during a residency at Fort MacPherson Army Dental Lab in Atlanta while simultaneously enhancing my education by working part-time in a dental lab alongside my studies.
Subsequently, I served as an in-house technician for a prominent dental office in Atlanta, collaborating with a team of three dentists. This experience fostered a deep understanding of the intricacies of dental technology and its integration within clinical practice.
In January 1975, I took a significant step in my career by establishing King Crown and Bridge in Atlanta, GA. Over the years, my passion for dental craftsmanship continued to grow, leading me to relocate to St. Simons Island in 1986. In 2007, the lab underwent a transformation, becoming King Dental Arts, a testament to our commitment to evolving dental techniques and practices.
My dedication to continuous learning and professional development has been unwavering. Establishing opportunities for continuing education, attending courses at reputable institutions such as The Hinman Meeting and various programs held at Jelenko and Vita Corporate Offices in the Atlanta area have been of the utmost priority for the success of King Dental Arts Laboratory.
In 1980, a pivotal moment arrived when I attended my first course with Dr. Pete Dawson in St. Petersburg, FL. This marked the inception of my in-depth exploration into occlusion and its profound relevance to my daily work. The knowledge gained from Dr. Dawson’s teachings instilled confidence, enabling me to undertake complex reconstruction cases. Between 1980 and 1995, I enthusiastically attended Dr. Dawson’s courses over a dozen times, continually expanding my expertise in occlusion and comprehensive dental care.
Continuing the quest for excellence, I have engaged with prominent figures in dentistry, including Strupp/Brumm, to ensure our team remains at the forefront of innovation. We prioritize ongoing education, staying abreast of cutting-edge techniques and advancements to deliver optimal solutions and superior dental care.
Lastly, I’ve had the honor and privilege of serving in the role of a Renfort Key Opinion Leader awarded by Renfort Dental for the 2023/2024 year for proven experience and expertise.
